Jerrad Tyson, Reece Caira and Jason Trifiro are the latest players to sign with Western Sydney Wanderers FC.
NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers FC today announced the latest three signings in Head Coach Tony Popovic-s recruitment drive.
Jerrad Tyson, Reece Caira and Jason Trifiro all become Wanderers FC players today after officially signing up to join Australia-s newest, oldest team.
Local product Trifiro joins Wanderers FC after spending a number of years looking to earn his spot in the Hyundai A-League. The 24-year-old, who grew up in Winston Hills, will realise his dream when he makes his first appearance for the red and black this season.
After spending a number of years in the NSW Premier League, Trifiro moved south to play in the Victorian Premier League with Northcote City and South Melbourne before earning his spot in the inaugural Wanderers FC squad.
In what is a great sign for the region, Reece Caira, who spent time with Blacktown City has earned himself a contract after impressing during the pre-season. The 19-year-old has spent the past two seasons at the Aston Villa club which has provided him with the opportunity to develop his skills before returning to Australia to kick-start his professional career.
Caira, a current Qantas Young Socceroo, will bolster the Wanderers FC defensive line-up where he can play across the back four or in a midfield role.
Former Gold Coast United Goal Keeper Jerrad Tyson has also earned a contract after impressing during his trial with NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers FC. The 22-year-old made 15 appearances during his stay at the now defunct Gold Coast United and will work together with fellow goalkeeper Ante Covic between the posts.
NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers FC Head Coach Tony Popovic is impressed with the three individuals and is happy to have them as part of his squad.
“These boys have all earned the right to be part of the squad and it-s great to have them officially on board,” said Popovic.
“They all have a different past and worked hard to get here but it-s great to have them officially part of the squad.
“All three have been trialling for a number of weeks and will play a key role for us in our first season,” Popovic added.
