The Western Sydney Wanderers are proud to announce their Westfield W-League line-up for the upcoming season.
With three current Matildas, four American signings and a returning Australian legend headlining the squad, there is a buzz around the team announcement never seen before at Wanderland.
New head coach Rich Byrne has recruited a number of proven winners to the team as the club looks to qualify for the finals for the first time.
Westfield W-League stalwarts Kendall Fletcher, Casey Dumont and Joey Burgess have made the semi-finals in every season they have played while having a combined total of six Premierships and Championships between them.
Helen Petinos and Caitlin Cooper both return for a fourth season as the Red & Black’s longest serving current players while five other players also remain from last season’s team.

With over 70% of the Australian players from the region, the squad has a distinctive Western Sydney flavour and that is no accident according to Byrne.
“If we want to continue to grow the game, it’s important that local girls can go watch their local Westfield W-League team with local role models on the pitch to inspire them,” said Byrne.
“We’re situated in a unique area of the world and the residents are proud of where they come from. We will represent the club, the fans and the region of Western Sydney with pride.
“We’re very happy with our squad: all the players love the club and want to push themselves to be the best they can be.”
