The NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers celebrate the White Ribbon campaign as they take on Melbourne Victory at Pirtek Stadium this Saturday night.
The White Ribbon Campaign is the largest global male-led movement to stop violence against women. It engages and enables men and boys to lead this social change.
In Australia, White Ribbon is an organisation that works to prevent violence by changing attitudes and behaviours. The prevention work is driven through social marketing, the Ambassador Program – that includes our own Ante Covic – and initiatives with communities, schools, universities, sporting codes and workplaces. At Saturday night-s match all fans will be urged to Swear an Oath along with Wanderers Board Member Warren Mundine and White Ribbon ambassador Frank Oliveri.
Coming into the match off three straight wins the Wanderers are looking to extend their eight match undefeated streak at Wanderland.
New Socceroos coach Ange Postecoglou and the entire Socceroos squad will also be on site to cast an eye over what will no doubt be one of the matches of the season. The Socceroos will also be presented to the crowd at halftime as they prepare for their friendly match against Costa Rica in Sydney next week.
All fans are urged to get to the game early to enjoy all the action a Wanderers match day provides.
This week fans can enjoy Sound Agent DJ, face painting, small sided games, NRMA skills tester, Amart Sports photo booth, the Wanderers merch vans, number and lettering stall so you can personalise your jersey and the PRIMO & SES mascots.
Saturday night will also be your last chance to pick up your Wanderers membership packs from the membership team in the forecourt outside of Gates A and B.
Don-t forget to Get Ridiculous. When Redfoo-s track comes on pre-match all fans are urged to get ridiculous to be in the running to win a Wanderers merchandise pack.
Remember, your ticket or Membership Card gives you access to free public transport to and from the match on all buses (including Hills Buses), ferries and trains.
