The Western Sydney Wanderers will take on Melbourne City in a pre-season friendly match on 12 October at Shepparton Sports City in Shepparton in regional Victoria.
It will be the Wanderers second visit to the town having visited in September last year for the same fixture.
The match will be the first time the two sides have met since Round 24 last season where City were the runaway winners, defeating Western Sydney 3-0.
City will host the Wanderers in the pre-season friendly that comes two weeks before the Red & Black kick-off their Hyundai A-League campaign against Perth Glory at NIB Stadium on Sunday 21 October.
Greater Shepparton City Council’s Mayor Kim O’Keeffe was excited to have the Hyundai A-League sides back for another pre-season fixture.
“I cannot wait to see the calibre of play at Shepparton Sports City on 12 October. I urge residents to keep an eye out for when the tickets will go on sale.
“This is an event for the community and I encourage all football lovers to get along to the match in October.”
