The Wanderers’ search for a first home win of the season continues after a Besart Berisha hat-trick handed the Victory a 3-0 win at ANZ Stadium on Saturday night.
In an open and entertaining game in front of just over 16,000 fans, Wanderers dominated the first half but their finishing lacked the clinical edge they showed last week in Gosford.
However Berisha showed heās back to his clinical best, making Wanderers keeper Andrew Redmayne pay for his error to give the visitors a first half lead. Ā
And the Albanian international was on target again after the break with two superb efforts to push the Big V to within a point of Melbourne City ahead of next Saturday nightās huge Melbourne Derby.
For Berisha, he moved to the top of the goal-scoring charts with eight goals before the final two games of the round.
