The Wanderers Fives World Cup presented by Western Sydney International Airport is a month-long celebration of football, food, and community that brings 48 teams together in a unique social five-a-side festival designed for everyone.
Open to all players aged 18+ and welcoming all genders and abilities, the competition blends the spirit of grassroots football with the energy of a world cup-style format, creating an inclusive environment where competition and connection sit side by side.
Teams register through the Wanderers Fives website before being drawn into one of four pools of twelve, setting the stage for a full month of action under lights.
Across the group stage, teams will play two short matches each week in fast-paced 10-minute halves, where every result matters and every moment counts towards a ladder that determines the Finals Day matchups.

From there, the competition builds towards a Finals Day where every team is guaranteed one final outing, surrounded by DJ sets, a Kids Zone, and a vibrant festival atmosphere that turns the day into more than just football.
But what truly sets the Wanderers Fives World Cup apart is the sense of global connection woven through every week of play.
As Western Sydney continues to grow as one of the most diverse regions in the world, this tournament reflects that identity by bringing cultures together through sport and shared experience.
Each Sunday introduces a new global food offering with rotating food trucks that celebrate the flavours of the communities that call this region home, creating a festival atmosphere that extends well beyond the pitch.
Presented by Western Sydney International Airport, the event also recognises the region’s expanding role as a gateway to the world, symbolising connection, movement, and cultural exchange.
The Wanderers Fives World Cup is football at its most social and most inclusive, where every team has a story, every match builds momentum, and every week delivers something new both on and off the field.
