WANDERERS FOOTBALL PARK NAMED OFFICIAL TRAINING SITE FOR AFC WOMEN’S ASIAN CUP 2026™

Western Sydney’s football heartland will take center stage ahead of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™, with Wanderers Football Park confirmed as one of eleven official training sites for the tournament.

As Australia prepares to welcome Asia’s top women’s football teams from 1 March 2026, the Local Organising Committee, in partnership with the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), has today confirmed the facilities that will serve as official training bases for the competition’s 12 participating nations.

Wanderers Football Park, home of Western Sydney Wanderers FC, joins other premier venues across Sydney, Perth, and the Gold Coast, selected for their outstanding football infrastructure, strong community engagement, and legacy potential.

The inclusion of Wanderers Football Park highlights its status as a key hub for elite football in Western Sydney, providing world-class training conditions for international teams while continuing to benefit local clubs, players, and the wider community.

The majority of the confirmed training venues were also used during the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™, demonstrating the lasting impact of major tournament investment in Australia’s football infrastructure.

With preparations entering the final phase, these sites will play a vital role in supporting teams as they prepare for Asia’s premier women’s football tournament, leaving a legacy that extends far beyond the competition itself.
