The Wanderers Foundation has today launched their 2023 Christmas Appeal, raising funds to expand the community programs the club runs in the Western Sydney region.
The Wanderers Foundation is the vehicle for the Western Sydney Wanderers to make a true difference in the community and over the last three years has had an impact on over 10,000 individuals from the region.
Programs focus on Female Football, Multicultural Engagement and All Abilities Football as well as a range of other football led activity across the Western Sydney region.
The last 12 months have seen the Wanderers Foundation host the NSW African Cup at Wanderers Football Park, engage with a number of CALD communities through football tournaments, expand the Future Wander Women Program, run programs at Youth Justice Centres as well as host multiple All Abilities Football Gala Days.
The Foundation has a target of $30,000 for the Christmas Appeal, calling on Wanderers members and fans to support the grassroots and community programs.
Western Sydney Wanderers CEO Scott Hudson has hopes that the 2023 Christmas Appeal could change the lives of many.
“The Wanderers Foundation has been doing incredible work in a number of different areas to give individuals the opportunity to play football in a fun and safe environment,” said Hudson.
“Together with our Western Sydney community, we hope to raise these funds to expand and introduce more programs to give back to our region.”
