Eight players from the Western Sydney Wanderers Girls Academy have earned international call-ups this August, marking a major milestone in what has been a breakthrough first year under new Academy Technical Director and A-League Women’s head coach Geoff Abrahams.

With selections across three Australian national teams and key international youth tournaments, the month stands out as a hallmark moment for the Wanderers Girls Academy further reinforcing the club’s position as one of the country’s leading football development programs.

A-League Women’s midfielder Amy Chessari will don the green and gold as part of the Australia U-23 Representative Team, who return to the international arena at the MSIG Serenity Cup™ 2025 in Vietnam from 6–19 August.

The tournament, featuring the region’s top talent, provides a valuable opportunity for Chessari to take her game to the next level.
