Western Sydney Wanderers FC are pleased to confirm that young winger Jai Rose has been promoted to a Scholarship Contract until the end of the 2027/28 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a breakout campaign in Red & Black, making seven first-team appearances during the 2025/26 season after debuting in Round 11.
Rose’s rapid development has also been recognised on the international stage, with the defender becoming a regular inclusion in Young Socceroos squads, most recently named in the 23-player squad for the Australia-China Friendship Series during the March FIFA Men’s International Window.
Having joined the Wanderers ahead of the 2025/26 campaign from the Central Coast Mariners Academy, Rose has quickly established himself as one of the club’s most promising young talents.
Western Sydney Wanderers Head Coach Gary van Egmond said Rose’s promotion reflected his growth and commitment throughout the season.
“Jai has shown fantastic maturity and professionalism since arriving at the club and has taken every opportunity presented to him this season,” said van Egmond.
“He’s a talented young player with a bright future ahead of him, and this Scholarship Contract is a deserved reward for the hard work he has put in both on and off the pitch.”
Jai Rose spoke about his passion to perform for the Wanderers.
“It’s been a long-time coming, and I’m just grateful for the opportunity from the club and really happy,” said Rose.
“It means a lot. Like I’ve said before, in my opinion, this is the biggest club in Australia and there is a lot of history in this club, I am very proud to be given an opportunity to represent a great club in this area.”
