Wanderers Josh Sotirio, Danijel Nizic and John Roberts visited The Children’s Hospital at Westmead on Thursday afternoon to ride in the Race for Grace.
The Race for Grace is a 24-hour cycle challenge aiming to raise awareness and funds for The Grace Centre for Newborn Intensive Care.
The Grace Centre for Newborn Intensive Care is a specialized unit, where more than 600 premature newborns, neonates and critically ill infants with complex medical conditions, such as serious cardiac and surgical disorders are treated.
This specialised unit provides urgent life-saving care for infants across NSW, ACT and the Pacific Rim, some flown into the nursery within hours of birth. The Grace Centre is also the only accredited NIDCAP (Newborn Individualised Developmental Care and Assessment Program) training centre in Australia, leading the way in neonatal developmental care.
