Wanderers secure Krpić

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have tonight confirmed the signing of Sulejman Krpić for the upcoming Isuzu UTE A-Leagues season.

Krpić has spent majority of his career based in Europe, having played in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the likes of Sarajevo, Sloboda Tuzla and Željezničar, and in Sweden with AIK and Croatia with heavyweights Dinamo Zagreb.

In 2020, the 188cm striker experienced football for the first time outside of Europe signing for K-League giants Suwon Bluewings where he spent a season.

Coming off the back of a successful season in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Krpić scored 14 goals in 30 matches for side Tuzla City where they finished the season as runners up of the competition.

Over his 12 year career, Krpić has scored 78 goals in 237 matches and is set to play in the A-Leagues competition for the very first time.

Head coach Mark Rudan welcomed Krpić to Western Sydney.

“Sulejman has a hunger and mentality to push himself to achieve not only his personal goals but also our club goals for the coming season,” said Rudan.

“We welcome Sulejman and his family to the club and are eager to get to work.”

Krpić said he was ready to give his all for the Red & Black.

“My experiences have taught me lots of good things. Now I am a lot smarter with much more life experience and I will try to use it to be the best here in Australia,” said Krpić.

“I am ready to give all of me to achieve my goals at both a personal and club level.

“I hope I will score many goals and I promise I will be a fighter on the pitch and always give my maximum.”
