Western Sydney Wanderers FC are proud to announce the signing of Scottish international winger Ryan Fraser from Southampton FC until the end of the 2025/26 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
Fraser arrives in Western Sydney with a wealth of top-level experience. The Aberdeen-born winger began his professional career at Aberdeen FC, before moving to AFC Bournemouth, where he spent seven seasons and built a reputation as one of the Premier League’s most dangerous wide men.
During his time in England’s top flight, Fraser made over 180 appearances, scored 18 goals and provided 31 assists, establishing himself as one of the league’s most reliable and dynamic wingers.
He went on to continue his career with Newcastle United and Southampton, further cementing his reputation as a player who consistently performs at the highest level.

On the international stage, Fraser earned 26 caps for Scotland, scoring four goals.
Fraser’s experience, speed, and creativity will add a new dimension to the Wanderers’ attack. His ability to unlock defences, deliver precise crosses, and drive the team forward makes him a player members and fans can get excited about.

Fraser said he was eager to make an immediate impact during the second half of the season.
“I wanted to do something different, out of my comfort zone, and instead of signing for another club in the English Championship after already playing in England for 13 years, I felt this opportunity was too good to turn down to help the club get back to where they want to be,” said Fraser.
“My aim is to help the club in any way I can as we start climbing the league. We are halfway through the season and there is still a lot that can happen. There’s a lot to play for.”
Fraser will be available for selection in the squad following his International Transfer Clearance.
