With the Hyundai A-League team playing in Melbourne this week, Western Sydney Wanderers fans can still get their fix of Red and Black with a Westfield W-League and Foxtel National Youth League double header at Marconi Stadium on Sunday 10 November.
The Wander Women open the 2013/14 season against Adelaide United at 2pm followed by the Foxtel NYL team playing Brisbane Roar at 4:10pm. Entry is free for Wanderers Members.
Following a number of high profile signings for the Westfield W-League team, expectations are high for a Championship challenge but Adelaide will provide a stern test having also strengthened significantly since the 4-0 drubbing the Wanderers handed out the last time these teams met.
Matildas Emily Van Egmond, Alanna Kennedy, Heather Garriock, Mackenzie Arnold and Caitlin Cooper have all joined the Wanderers during the off-season adding to the Club-s existing Matildas Servet Uzunlar, Catherine Cannuli, Teigen Allen and Jenna Kingsley.
With a Club Record crowd witnessing the Foxtel National Youth League team draw with Adelaide United last Sunday, another big crowd is expected at Marconi Stadium for the double header and all Wanderers fans are encouraged to attend to enjoy the atmosphere and football.
Tickets for non-members are available at the gate or can be pre-purchased at Club Marconi. $10 for adults, $5 for concessions and free for U16 and all Wanderers Members.
Marconi Stadium is at 121-133 Prairie Vale Rd, Bossley Park.
