Breier signs two-year deal

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have tonight confirmed the signing of India Breier for the next two Liberty A-Leagues seasons. 

It is set to be Breier’s first season in the A-Leagues competition after impressing in the Football NSW National Premier League Women’s with Macarthur Rams.

The 17-year-old attacker has been deemed as one of the promising talents of Australian football.

Head coach Kat Smith said Breier was ready to take the next steps in her career.

“As a dynamic and creative natural winger, Indi’s progress and development across Junior National Teams and National Premier League have been keenly observed. Her goal-scoring and ability to provide assists is every coach’s dream,” said Smith.

“Indi has shown high commitment and persistence, out-weighing her natural talent, which we believe are key ingredients in taking the next step towards establishing herself as a consistent A-League Womens starter.

“Indi’s youthful enthusiasm and hunger to improve will continue to set high standards at the club.”

Breier said the deal was a dream come true.

“I was born and raised in Sydney so I feel that Wanderers is the perfect fit for me and I can’t wait start my first A-League Women’s season in Red & Black,” said Breier. 

“This has been a goal of mine for so long and it feels like my dream has come true.

“The A-Leagues is a step up from where I am playing but I’m looking forward to the challenge and I can’t wait for pre-season and the games to start.

“The competition will be tough but the Wanderers have a great squad and I’m planning to work hard and try to make an impact in my first season.

“I’m most excited about training and playing in the Western Sydney Wanderers environment and being surrounded by such experienced players, coaches and with access to great facilities.”
