Western Sydney Wanderers FC can confirm that captain Rhys Williams has undergone a successful surgery to repair his ruptured hamstring tendon.
Williams will now begin a lengthy rehabilitation process and will be out for several months.
The club and Wanderers community will continue to give their full support to Williams during this time and look forward to seeing him back on the pitch stronger than ever.
