Rich Byrne has named his squad for Sunday’s Westfield W-League Round 1 match against Newcastle Jets at McDonald Jones Stadium.

The match is part of a double header with the match taking place before the Wanderers and the Jets square off in the Hyundai A-League.

The Wanderers Westfield W-League squad will kick-off their season at 2:30pm with a number of fresh faces set to make their debut for the club.

The Red & Black have had mixed results in season’s past against the Jets, having won three and lost two games, and will be looking to start the season off strong by securing three points away from home.  

The side will be without Jada Whyman, Rachel Lowe and Susan Phonsongkham who are all on international duty with the Young Matildas.
