The Foxtel Y-League is back this weekend when the Western Sydney Wanderers take on Canberra United at Marconi Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Wanderers will be led this season by Arthur Diles, who joined the club in 2015 after a successful stint as technical director of Sydney Olympic.

Having first taken charge of the Wanderers’ U18 side, Diles was last season’s head coach of the Wanderers’ Grand Final-winning U20s side as well as assistant coach of the Red & Black’s Foxtel Y-League side.

The Wanderers have assembled a young squad brimming with talent for the Foxel Y-League, including seven players who this month helped the Young Socceroos reach the 2018 AFC U19 Championship after topping their group in the qualifying tournament in Vietnam.

Moudi Najjar will be a Wanderer to keep your eye on after his return from the 2018 AFC U19 Championship as the top scorer of the tournament.

Wanderer Kosta Grozos will be lining up for another season with the Wanderers Academy, coming off the back of incredible performances in the Red & Black’s NPL side.

While Tass Mourdoukoutas, Adrian Valenti, Fabian Monge and Mohamed Adam are all set to play in their first FYL season for the club.

Canberra United are a new side in the FYL this season, having only received their Youth League licence earlier this year.

Despite the squad only being together for a very short time, United will be looking to make their mark in their inaugural season.
