Yuel pens deal until end of season

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed the signing of Valentino Yuel until the end of the Isuzu UTE A-Leagues season.

The South Sudanese international was last contracted in Iran with Aluminium Arak and went on loan to Qatar Stars League side Umm Salal where he played in seven matches and scored one goal.

Yuel returns to the A-Leagues with the Red & Black for his second stint of the domestic competition having spent two seasons at Newcastle Jets and one season at Western United under Wanderers head coach Marko Rudan.

The forward arrives in Western Sydney this week after a busy international break, having represented South Sudan in two matches against Senegal and Mauritiana in their World Cup Qualifying campaign.

Head coach Marko Rudan welcomed Valentino to the club.

“We are delighted to have Valentino join the Wanderers until the end of the A-Leagues season,” said Rudan.

“Having worked with Valentino in the past, I know what attributes he can bring to a team and we are pleased to be adding extra depth to our attacking third.”

Yuel said he was excited to join the Wanderers.

“My goal is to contribute as much as I can, whether it’s assisting or scoring,” said Yuel.

“I want to influence as many positive results as I can, to hopefully win something at the end of the season.

“The Wanderers have always been a very tough opponent, very passionate fan-base which made it very difficult when coming up against them. So it’s good to be on the same side of them now.”
