Western Sydney Wanderers head coach Alen Stajcic has named his extended squad for Saturday night’s blockbuster Elimination Final against Melbourne Victory.
You can get your tickets from Ticketek.
Two of the league’s biggest clubs and most passionate fanbases will clash in a thrilling Elimination Final, with the Wanderers aiming for their first Finals win since 2016.
Coming off a 12-match unbeaten run, they head into the match in strong form, having won eight and drawn four since their last defeat on Australia Day.
Their momentum includes a crucial comeback victory over Macarthur in the final regular season match.
While coach Alen Stajcic prepares for this pivotal match, he knows the Victory cannot be underestimated.
Despite finishing fifth, three points behind the Wanderers, Victory have had their share of turmoil, with coach Patrick Kisnorbo leaving early in the season. Interim coach Arthur Diles has steadied the ship, but inconsistent form remains, evident in their final three matches of the regular season.
Victory’s talented squad, led by Nishan Velupillay and Zinedine Macach, along with Daniel Arzani, has shown they can be dangerous, as seen in their strong first-half performance in Parramatta earlier this year.
This will be the first postseason meeting between these two clubs. Which team will make history and progress to the Semi Finals?
