Together with Pepper Money, the Western Sydney Wanderers are proud to announce the 2018 Wanderers Academy Scholarship winners – an integral part of Pepper Money’s Kick Start initiative.
As part of Pepper Money’s ongoing support of the Wanderers community, the Kick Start initiative allows all players in the Wanderers Academy to identify themselves as needing a ‘kick start’ to their football careers.
Successful recipients will share in $15,000 worth of financial support for their Academy registration fees, scholarship plaques and professional media training.
The 2018 Pepper Money Scholarship winners are:

- Evan Ball
- Jake Lavelle
- Tom Ruperto
- Dylan Craus
- Peter Grozos
- Jesper Webber
Applicants were reviewed by a panel on their ambitions outside of football, willingness to improve their skills off the pitch and the community work they are currently involved in.
Pepper Money’s CEO, Mario Rehayem, said “At Pepper, we are all about helping people succeed and are continuously looking for ways to make a difference in people’s lives.
“We are delighted to continue our support for the Youth Academy and we are excited about the opportunities our funding will open up for these young players”.
Wanderers Academy Technical Director Ian Crook says the Pepper Money Scholarships have changed the lives of many players in the Wanderers Academy.
“We are delighted to have the support of Pepper Money as it has helped so many families over the last two years at our Academy,” said Crook.
“A little goes a long way and Pepper Money have made a huge difference in not only supporting players on the pitch financially, but also off it, providing them with a pathway to learn and grow.”
Pepper launched the Kick Start initiative back in 2017 to support the next generation of Wanderers stars looking to succeed.
