Western Sydney Wanderers FC’s Hyundai A-League team will return to training this week at the club’s Centre of Football in Blacktown.

Training in groups of 10, the Red & Black’s sessions are set to prepare the team for the planned resumption of the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season on Thursday 16 July 2020.

The resumption will kick-off with Melbourne Victory taking on Western United at AAMI Park in Melbourne with the remaining 27 games of the regular season to be held over an action-packed 28-day period before the end of season Finals Series.

The Wanderers, who have been off since late March following the Sydney Derby, will be looking to finish their remaining five games of the season over this period and push for a place in the Finals Series.

Players will return to training this week following the successful completion of COVID-19 medical screenings and the implementation of operational plans to minimise the risk of infection at their training sites and club facilities.

With key milestones being met, Football Federation Australia (FFA) will continue to work collaboratively with the competition’s long-term partner and host broadcaster, Fox Sports, regarding the broadcast arrangements to complete the season.

FFA’s Head of Leagues Greg O’Rourke will also be answering any questions tonight on Instagram. To submit your question click here.

The Western Sydney Wanderers Centre of Football remains closed for external visitors.
