Western Sydney Wanderers FC are proud to confirm the re-signing of Libby Copus-Brown for the upcoming W-League season.
Copus-Brown signed with the Red & Black at the start of the 2020/21 season in what will be her ninth season in the W-League.
A dynamo in the Wanderers midfield, Copus-Brown featured in every match for the club last season.
Off the field, Copus-Brown has played an instrumental role in the Western Sydney community by being part of the club’s Future Wander Women Program where she is the assistant coach.
Head coach Catherine Cannuli welcomed Copus-Brown back for another season.
“Libby is a fantastic ambassador for our club and is one of Western Sydney’s adopted daughters,” said Cannuli.
“Not only has she invested herself in the Wanderers playing style but also the club’s DNA which represents hard-work, grit and the support of our local community.
“We look forward to seeing Libby represent the Red & Black for another season.”
Copus-Brown said she was excited for her second season at the Wanderers.
“I really enjoyed last season at the Wanderers. It’s such an amazing club, the facilities are second to none and the staff and my teammates were amazing,” said Copus-Brown.
“I’ve actually really enjoyed coaching (the Future Wander Women Program) and it’s such an amazing initiative, I’m honoured to be part of it.
“There’s a lot of talent within the group and all I do is guide them and help them out as much as I can so that they can reach their full potential.
“Looking ahead to the W-League season, I want to make the Finals and I believe that we can.
“I want to be the best that I can be so I can do my part for the team to make that a reality.”
