Wanderers Kristen Hamilton and Lynn Williams have both earned a spot in the Professional Football Association (PFA)’s Westfield W-League Team Of The Year.
Hamilton and Williams both joined the Wanderers for their first stint in the Westfield W-League from NWSL Champions North Carolina Courage.
Hamilton, who was voted by her peers to start in the Team Of The Year, toppled records in the Wanderers’ pursuit to make history.
The star striker made history by becoming the first player from the Red & Black to win the Westfield W-League Golden Boot, sharing the top billing with seven goals to her name.
Those seven goals broke the club record for most goals (6) scored in a single season, previously shared by Catherine Cannuli and Katie Stengel.
To add to her list, Hamilton also was the first player in Wanderers Westfield W-League history to score a hat-trick when she got all three goals in a confident 3-1 win over Brisbane Roar on 28 November 2019.
Williams, who was with the Wanderers for half a season, will be forever remembered for her fierce determination and pace in the front-third, scoring four goals in five appearances with the club.
The US National Team forward was named on the bench.
