Hyundai A-League FIFA 18 ratings special: top 5 strikers

A top goal-scorer is like gold to any side and the striking talent in the Hyundai A-League is pretty special.

5. Oriol Riera – Western Sydney Wanderers – 73

He’s already showing his ability in the Westfield FFA Cup, but this rating comes purely off the back of his last season at Deportivo La Coruna.

He’s a little slower, and little less physically gifted, but his passing is up, and if his early form in the Westfield FFA Cup is anything to go by, it’s not going to take long to get him an In-Form Team of the Week card.

Statistically, very similar to Sydney FC’s Bobo. If you enjoyed using the Brazilian in FIFA 17, you’ll enjoy the Spaniard in FIFA 18.

4. Besart Berisha – Melbourne Victory – 74

The first striker in the Asia Pacific region to be honoured with a special purple milestone card for reaching 100 goals in the Hyundai A-League.

His Hero Item was 81, but for his regular card this year, he’s on par with where he was last year.

Absolutely no changes for the Kosovar striker – he’s still strong, quick, can finish, two footed, and will work hard for you in the final third.

3. Bobo – Sydney FC – 74

He came to the Hyundai A-League with huge wraps.

On the field, his combination with Holosko was deadly for Sydney FC, but it looks like the gurus at EA SPORTS weren’t impressed enough to give Bobo an upgrade.

He’s down one point, and lost his Gold card.

All of his technical stats are down by one point, and while it’s not much, it’s enough to relegate him to third best striker in the Hyundai A-League.

Bobo

2. Massimo Maccarone – Brisbane Roar – 75

The best shooting attributes of all the strikers in the Hyundai A-League.

But if you were used to using Brisbane Roar and Jamie Maclaren last year, your experience is going to be very different.

Where Macca’s pace was an 85 in FIFA 17, Big Mac’s is just 69.

You’re not going to be beating any defenders to the ball with pace, but if you play smarter, Maccarone is going to be a top, top striker in FIFA 18.

Massimo

1. Bruno Fornaroli – Melbourne City – 76

The king. There’s not much more to be said about Bruno Fornaroli.

The quickest of the five strikers. The best dribbler. The second best finisher. And the second most physically gifted of the lot.

Get the ball to Fornaroli, and you’ll score some magical goals.
