Tony Popovic has named his squad for Saturday’s Hyundai A-League Round 25 match against Newcastle Jets at McDonald Jones Stadium.
There are three additions to the squad, with captain Dimas returning after celebrating the birth of his first child, and Ryan Griffiths and Abraham Majok being promoted.
Red-hot striker Brendon Santalab misses out on the trip north, after the striker picked up his eighth yellow of the season last week.
The Wanderers enter the match on the back of consecutive wins at home, after Round 23’s 3-1 victory over Wellington Phoenix and Round 24’s 3-1 triumph over Melbourne City.
Meanwhile, the Jets will be looking to restore some pride after last week’s 5-0 demolition at the hands of the Phoenix.
The result means Newcastle are now on a seven-game winless run and if history is anything to go by, they could be in for another tough afternoon on Saturday.
The Wanderers are undefeated when playing the Jets in Newcastle, having picked up four wins and two draws from the six encounters.
The last meeting between the pair in the Hunter came in Round 23 of last season, where a Jaushua Sotirio strike sealed a 1-0 win for the Red & Black.
Saturday will mark the third fixture between the two sides this Hyundai A-League season, following Round 3’s 2-2 draw at Spotless Stadium and the Wanderers’ 2-0 win at Campbelltown Stadium in Round 16.
