It hasn’t been long since the Wanderers last played at home but last weekend’s clash against Macarthur has put the Red & Black in good stead for tomorrow night’s meeting against the Victory.

The Wanderers fought back twice to level with Macarthur FC in an entertaining 2-2 draw at Campbelltown Stadium on Saturday night.

The see-sawing clash saw the Bulls pull ahead twice through headed goals to centre backs Aleksandar Jovanovic and Aleksandar Susnjar, but second-half strikes to Wanderers midfielder Graham Dorrans and Simon Cox saw the Red & Black earn a point and go five gamers undefeated.

The match showed the signs of a new Wanderers, a group that won’t be afraid to take on their classic rivals Melbourne Victory.

It’s been a strange start to the season for Victory who were well beaten over the weekend by the Roar 5-2.

The rampant Queenslanders powered in four goals in the space of 26 dazzling first-half minutes and, although the Navy Blue hit back to keep their hopes alive, Roar regained control after the interval to make it four straight wins for the first time in five years.

It has been a disappointing start for Melbourne Victory who have only registered one win in five games and Grant Brebner’s men will be determined to turn the ship around when they come to Wanderland tomorrow night.
