The Western Sydney Wanderers FNSW League One side will be looking to continue their charge towards promotion, travelling on the road again to face SD Raiders at Ernie Smith Reserve.
The Wanderers returned to winning ways last week in emphatic fashion, coming from behind to defeat Hakoah Sydney City East 5-1.
Alex Badolato continued his impressive form, scoring his sixth goal of the season whilst also grabbing an assist.
It was a crucial win for the Young Wanderers, who were missing key players through injury, suspension and through involvement with the senior squad.
The side sits in 5th, just one point outside the top four promotion spots, and would be highly likely to enter those places with a win on the weekend.
Their opponents SD Raiders had a crucial win of their own on the weekend; a 3-2 win away at Bonnyrigg snapped a five game winless run that included three defeats on the spin.
Daniel Bitter impressed with two goals in three minutes, whilst the Wanderers will also have to be at their best to keep out Mark Cindric, who has netted four goals so far this season.
The Wanderers defence will be buoyed by the return of Alex Bonetig from suspension, and will be hoping that Phillip Cancar and Mark Natta will be able to build a strong partnership after the former’s return from a stint in the senior side.
The home side for this week currently sit two places and three points behind the Wanderers, but coach Tomi Vidovic will be keen to ensure that his side remains focused and prepared for what will be a difficult match.
The two sides faced off once last season, with the Wanderers coming away 3-1 winners. They will be hoping for similar success on Saturday night.
