Leah Blayney

Growing up in Katoomba, Leah played her youth football for Wentworth Falls United.

After winning national championships at the junior and youth level with the NSW Metro team, Leah would soon turn out for the NSW Sapphires in the WNSL, reaching three consecutive finals for two victories.
 
She played her club football for Auburn University and Central Connecticut State Uni in the USA, where she completed a degree in Bachelor of Physical Education and Health. Following a short stint with Sydney FC in the W-League, Leah returned to America with Boston Aztecs in 2009 before deputizing for Swedish outfit Eskilstuna United.
 
Leah returned home to sign for Canberra United in 2011 before agreeing a contract with NWSL club Boston Breakers.
 
The former midfielder represented Australia at Matildas, U19 & U20s level. She is currently completing the FFA A Licence and has coached both the Macarthur Rams U14 and U15s sides, winning a championship in 2014. Leah was also assistant coach for NSW U15 in the 2014 national championships before being named Australian U17s assistant coach in 2016.
