A message to Wanderers members from Western Sydney Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas.
The past few months have been a challenge for us all, across our communities, businesses and sporting lives the COVID-19 pandemic has created great uncertainty.
Behind the scenes we have been working hard to ensure that our team, staff and football future remains secure.
While the events over recent days in Victoria and in Sydney have added to our collective challenges, we are excited and eagerly anticipate the weeks ahead and return of football.
As Wanderers CEO I must praise the efforts of Football Federation Australia Chief James Johnson and Head of Leagues Greg OāRourke and their teams for the mountain they have climbed for us to finish this Hyundai A-League season.
With the changes to our remaining fixtures set to be finalised very soon we are getting closer to completing the regular season including hosting three matches at Bankwest Stadium.
Following strict guidelines from the NSW Government we hope to have announcements about welcoming fans to our final home matches in the coming days and thank every single member for their patience, understanding and support during the past four months.
Todayās announcement of Jean-Paul de Marignyās promotion to officially be our head coach is a positive and gives us the platform we need to progress in our challenge to return to the summit of A-League football.
Our next steps will be crucial and we look forward to completing this season with a strong push to the finals and continue preparations for our 2020/21 season plans.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Wanderland soon and thank you for your support.
Sincerely,
John Tsatsimas
