The Young Wanderers put in a five star performance on Sunday night, demolishing Manly United 5-0 at Cromer Park.
Marcus Younis scored the pick of the goals with a spectacular bicycle kick, whilst Nathaneal Blair, Aydan Hammond and Adam Bugarija also scored as the Wanderers recorded their sixth win in a row.
The sides traded chances early on before Blair opened the scoring in the 12th minute with his ninth goal of the season, as he got on the end of a Zac Spasford cutback and scored with ease.
Hammond had a pair of chances to double the lead, but just when it looked like there would be no more goals in the first half, Younis pulled out a goal of the season contender from nowhere.
Manly failed to deal with a corner, and the ball fell to the winger, who then flicked the ball up for himself and executed an almost perfect bicycle kick into the far corner of the net, leaving goalkeeper Levi Kaye helpless.
The game slowed as the Wanderers controlled possession and also made a series of changes to keep their players fresh.
They would eventually have a third goal after a nicely worked team move that saw Badolato feed the ball to Hammond, with the latter pulling off a lovely dinked finish.
Bulgaria, who came off the bench for Blair, then recorded a quick fire double, firstly from a low and hard drive into the bottom corner, before scoring with almost the last kick of the game as he got on the end of a loose ball after Ryley Hollingdale had his initial effort blocked.
The Wanderers now sit four points clear of Rockdale Ilinden at the top of the NPL NSW table, they face St George City next Sunday at home.
