It is the second time the two sides will meet this season with the Red & Black opening the A-League season against the Bulls in a 1-0 defeat at Wanderland.

Despite having the better share of chances, the Wanderers suffered a defeat at the hands of the A-League newcomers.

Since the opening fixture, the Wanderers have gone from strength to strength and a run of form has seen the Red & Black sit at the top end of the table.

It is the second time the two sides will meet this season with the Red & Black opening the A-League season against the Bulls in a 1-0 defeat at Wanderland.

Heading into this meeting, the Wanderers will be determined to make amends for their opening round outcome as well as their most recent frustrating result against the Jets.

Bernie Ibini

A penalty for the Jets saw the Wanderers share the points with the Novocastrians but in reality, the match very much felt like a loss for the Red & Black who should have got more out of the fixture.

There were plenty of positives to take for the Wanderers who had an electrifying first half which saw Bernie Ibini score his first goal for the club as well as some mammoth performances by Tate Russell, Graham Dorrans and Ziggy Gordon.

The Red & Black will be disappointed by the final result in the hotly-contested fixture and have this week turned their attention to their noisy neighbours, Macarthur FC.

Goal Celebration

Macarthur are set to play in their second home match in a row and will be coming off a 3-0 defeat to the Sky Blues.

Two first A-League goals for Pat Wood and some brilliance from Milos Ninkovic secured the win for Sydney in Campbelltown.

All three goals came in the second half of a contest that was halted at half-time for an hour due to poor weather conditions after Bulls captain Mark Milligan was sent off for a reckless challenge in the opening stanza.

The Bulls will be without their captain and the Wanderers will be ready to fire in what is set to be another blockbuster fixture between the two sides.
