Western Sydney Wanderers new signing Remy Siemsen is ready to work hard to achieve the big goals she’s set for her first season with the Red & Black.
Siemsen joins the Wanderers after spending her first season overseas where she played in the USA Women’s Premier Soccer League for California Storm.
The skilfull attacker won the Leading Goal Scorer, Leading Individual Points, Equal High Assists Award, and was named in the 2018 Best of the WPSL team after an incredible season for the Storm.
Ready to do it all over again, Siemsen says she’s learnt a lot about the game during her time overseas.
“It feels quite different, for now in my career. It’s time to make a move,” explained Siemsen.
“It was really good to head overseas and test out the waters to see if I enjoyed that experience, and I did.
“It was a strong league and I thought it helped my game improve a lot and it’s going to help me go into the W-League, stronger and more physical.
“I noticed a different aspect of the game over there.”
Returning now to Australia to prepare for her first season with the Red & Black, Siemsen is ready to achieve big things.
“My main dream and goal has always been to play for the Matildas and I’m not going to stop until I get there,” said Siemsen.
“I hope the Wanderers can help me achieve that, especially with the World Cup coming up next year.
“There’s other aspirations I want to achieve and that’s making it to the Finals and winning the Grand Final with the Wanderers.
“So I believe we can do it with the team that we’re building. I’m really looking forward to putting on the jersey and working really hard for the girls out there.”
