On the weekend our World Cup defender Matthew Spiranovic attended Baulkham Hills St Michael Knights Soccer Club for their 40th birthday celebration.
Wanderers Partner, My Dental Team is a big supporter of the Knights and played a major part in the day including eco-packs distributed to the players.
Spiranovic was a popular figure at the day meeting fans young and old, taking photos and signing autographs.
The celebration shared the achievement of 40 years with members & their families along with the wider community with a gala day involving around 250 players and their families.
Baulkham Hills St Michael Knights Soccer club was founded in 1974 and competes in the GDSFA competition. With over 500 registered players in 2014 the Knights fielded teams in the junior, senior, Over 35 & female divisions and has substantial in-house Mini Roos (U5 to U7) and Special Needs (Kickaroos) programs.
The Club has a proud history which is based on a strong sense of community and family values. These values have been demonstrated in the support of local schools, catering for members with intellectual disabilities, the development of a Hills chapter of the “Special Olympics” and donation of jerseys to soccer clubs in developing countries.
