Sydney Derby Active Supporter Ends SELL OUT in record time at CommBank Stadium

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed that the Sydney Derby season opener has reached a new level of excitement with both the Wanderers and Sydney FC’s active supporter sections selling out in record time for the upcoming clash on 19 October 2024 at CommBank Stadium.

The match has seen unprecedented demand for tickets with limited seats remaining in the Eastern Grandstand and General Admission areas.

Red & Black vs. Sky Blue, West vs East, the Sydney Derby is steeped in history with every encounter filled with intensity, emotion and drama.

From spectacular goals to last-minute match winners, the Derby is the fixture where anything can happen and the atmosphere is unmatched.

The 2024/25 Sydney Derby season opener is shaping up to be one of the biggest in recent history, especially with the much-anticipated A-Leagues debuts of global stars Juan Mata and Douglas Costa in the fixture.

With more than just bragging rights on the line and the entire City divided, the match is a spectacle that no football or sporting fan can afford to miss.

Western Sydney Wanderers CEO Scott Hudson encouraged all Wanderers fans to get their tickets before the match is sold out in the coming weeks.

“With the passionate Red & Black supporters selling out their active sections last week and now Sydney selling out their allocation early this morning, we’re expecting an electric atmosphere at CommBank Stadium come October,” said Hudson.

“This is the biggest fixture of the A-Leagues calendar and we know supporters will bring unmatched energy and passion to the Sydney Derby.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone to CommBank Stadium next month and encourage everyone to purchase their tickets as soon as possible to avoid missing out.”
