While our matches against Guangzhou Evergrande on 20 and 27 August in the Quarter Finals of the ACL are set, our passage to a potential third successive A-League Finals Series has now been set with an opening match against Melbourne Victory on 10 October followed by a Sydney Derby on 18 October and our first of five home weekend double headers against Central Coast Mariners and Brisbane Roar respectively on 25 October and 1 November.
This season sees a return of the double home fixtures against rivals Sydney FC, Melbourne Victory, Melbourne City and Central Coast Mariners which will see Wanderland go into overdrive.
Expect action, excitement and an improved Wanderland experience this season as we aim to go one better and win back the Premiers Plate and take out the Grand Final.
While a mid-season break for the Asian Cup will see us only play a single match in January, a run of high profile matches will ensure an exciting finish to the regular season to accompany the 2015 AFC Champions League matches which will be played from February onwards.
Another exciting instalment this year is the inaugural FFA Cup which will give us an opportunity to further engage grassroots football with a potential clash against a state league side possible.
With you beside the team we will fight strongly in all three competitions and make Western Sydney proud.
“Having qualified for the AFC Champions League for the second successive season as well as the introduction of the FFA Cup means more football and more action at Wanderland for our Members,” said Western Sydney Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas.
“We want to be competitive on all fronts and challenge for honours and we believe we have the coaching staff and core squad to do that.
“With our incredible fans, we want to make Wanderland a football destination that is unrivalled in the A-League.”
Membership and ticketing information for the 2014/15 season will be released soon. Stay tuned for details.
