As part of the Wanderers’ ongoing commitment to the community, especially in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, the Red & Black have been working closely with club partners to create care packs to support the club’s elderly and vulnerable members.
The care packs include important nutritional supplements from Herbalife Nutrition, pre-packaged meals from Vegeta as well as sanitiser, medical supplies, and home comforts from Choice Pharmacy.
Western Sydney Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas said the joint effort of the club’s partners to help the Western Sydney community re-affirms the ongoing collaboration from all sectors of the club.
“The Western Sydney Wanderers are more than just a football club and it’s important during these times that we step up and support the most vulnerable members of our community,” said Tsatsimas.
“I would like to thank our generous partners Herbalife Nutrition, Vegeta and Choice Pharmacy for coming together to help us support the Western Sydney community.”
Herbalife Nutrition Australia & New Zealand General Manager/Director Peter Hurley said he was proud of Herbalife Nutrition’s commitment to the Wanderers community, urging everyone to stay safe.
“Herbalife Nutrition is proud to be part of this initiative. We are happy to provide nutritional products to help these senior members of the community and alleviate the concern of having to leave their homes at this vulnerable time,” said Hurley.
“We echo the message from our government to stay home and stay safe.”
Vegeta Marketing Manager Julia Hudaly emphasised the importance of working together during such unprecedented times.
“During these unforeseen times, it is important to work together and provide support to the community,” said Hudaly.
“The Vegeta Family would like to show our support of the Western Sydney community by donating some of our products to the most vulnerable during this crisis.”
Choice Pharmacy General Manager Hasan Moutasallem said he was proud to be involved in such a community initiative especially with the opening of Choice’s new Eastern Creek store.
“We would like to thank the Wanderers for their efforts in helping and staying connected to our local community,” said Moutasallem.
