Wanderers Fives Hosts Nepalese Community Football Celebration

The Western Sydney Wanderers welcomed the Australian Nepalese Football Association to Wanderers Fives on Sunday, with the venue hosting the 2026 Nepalese Community Football Celebration Day in what proved to be a vibrant showcase of community, culture and football.

Sixteen teams competed across the day in a Five-a-Side competition, with the Wanderers Fives facility providing the backdrop for an event that extended well beyond the pitch.

Celebrations of Nepalese cuisine and culture were woven throughout the day, with food and traditional dance bringing members of the community together in a celebration of heritage and belonging.

The event reflected what Western Sydney represents – a region shaped by its people, its cultures and its shared love of football. Moments like these are a reminder of why the Wanderers exist not just as a football club, but as a gathering point for the communities that call this part of the world home.

The day also delivered a moment of collective anticipation as attendees came together to cheer on the Socceroos, adding another layer to what was already a full afternoon of football and community spirit.

The Wanderers thank Cultural Pulse, Youthify and the Australian Nepalese Football Association for their efforts in organising and delivering the day. Events like this one continue to strengthen the connection between the club and the diverse communities that make Western Sydney one of the most exciting regions in the country.
