The Western Sydney Wanderers fixtures for the Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season have been released.
The Wanderers will open their Hyundai A-League season against Central Coast Mariners on Saturday 12 October, kicking off at Bankwest Stadium at the family friendly timeslot of 5:15pm.
The match will mark the club’s official return to Wanderland and is a homage to the club’s very first fixture at venue back in 2012.
The Red & Black will host all 13 home fixtures at Bankwest Stadium across three Friday night, three Saturday afternoon, five Saturday night, one Sunday and one mid-week fixture.
The Red & Black will travel to Marvel Stadium in Round 2 for a Friday night fixture against Melbourne Victory before returning home for the very first blockbuster Sydney Derby at the new Bankwest Stadium on Saturday 26 October.
A week later, Brisbane Roar will come to town for the Wanderers second Saturday afternoon fixture.
The end of November will see the Wanderers host Melbourne City on Friday 22 November at 7:30pm, a clash that will raise awareness of the club’s ongoing work with White Ribbon.
The Red & Black will then hit the road, playing in three back-to-back away matches against Newcastle Jets, Wellington Phoenix and Perth Glory over Rounds 8, 9 and 10.
Newcomers in the Hyundai A-League, Western United, will make their only visit to Wanderland for the club’s Christmas fixture on Friday 20 December with the Wanderers set to put on a festive Red & Black show.
Traditions will continue on Friday 27 December with the Wanderers taking on Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium before returning home for the club’s annual New Year’s Day fixture, this season against Brisbane Roar at Bankwest Stadium.
A trip to windy Wellington will follow in Round 14 prior to the Wanderers hosting Perth Glory in their only Sunday night home fixture at Bankwest Stadium.
After a bye in Round 16, the Wanderers head back on the road with two away clashes – Mariners at Central Coast Stadium and the Sydney Derby at Nestrata Jubilee Stadium.
Two back-to-back home matches over Round 19 and 20 will see the Jets and Adelaide make their only visits to Wanderland this season over a Saturday and Friday night clashes.
Another set of back-to-back’s then follows with the Wanderers traveling to both Suncorp Stadium and AAMI Park over Rounds 22 and 23.
The Red & Black then return to Wanderland on Saturday 21 March for the final regular season Sydney Derby – the club’s annual Harmony Day fixture.
The final stretch of the Wanderers’ Hyundai A-League 2019/20 season will see the Red & Black host Glory and Victory over two Saturday night blockbusters at 7:30pm and 5:15pm respectively, with trips to Western United and the Mariners in between.
The Red & Black will then wrap up the regular season in Round 29 with an ANZAC Day fixture against Wellington Phoenix on Saturday 25 April with kick-off scheduled for 7:30pm.
