The Western Sydney Wanderers are excited to announce the coaching line-up of head coach Rich Byrne and assistant coaches Ryan Doidge and Catherine Cannuli for the upcoming Westfield W-League season.
Rich Byrne will continue his role as head coach after joining the club last season.
Before coming to the club, Byrne coached abroad in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, and worked in the Foxtel National Youth League as an assistant coach as well as with the Pararoos, Australia’s Paralympic football team.
Joining Byrne as an assistant coach this season is Ryan Doidge, who has spent a number of years developing some of the best talent around the globe.
Doidge has spent three seasons at MLS club New York Red Bulls as their youth coach and two seasons at North Shore Mariners as the U18 head coach and head of game training.
Linking up with Doidge as assistant coach is Wanderers Westfield W-League legend, Catherine Cannuli.
The former Matilda was part of the Wanderers’ inaugural Westfield W-League side in 2012 and is the club’s all time women’s leading goal scorer.
Cannuli joins the coaching staff after successful stint with Southern Districts Raiders Football Club, where she lead her team to back-to-back Grand Final victories.
