Wanderers secure loan signing of Noah James

Noah James

Western Sydney Wanderers FC are proud to announce the loan signing of Noah James from the Newcastle Jets.

James joins the Red & Black on a season long loan where he will link up with former coach Carl Robinson.

The talented 19-year-old was part of the first team set-up in Newcastle since the age of 15, making his A-League debut and keeping a clean sheet in a win against Wellington Phoenix in the final match of the season.

It was a start new Wanderers head coach Carl Robinson provided James, later praising the young shot stopper for his performance.

James, who has represented Australia at U20s level on four occasions, said he wanted to repay the faith put in him by his coaches.

“I’m very excited and grateful for being given the opportunity to come and play under Carl Robinson and Kenny Miller again,” said James.

“I’m looking to develop and be involved in the first team and evolve not only as a footballer but as a person.

“It’s the first time I’m leaving Newcastle in my life and I’m looking forward to the change and challenge ahead.

“I want to repay the faith that Carl and Kenny have in me and giving the opportunity to come and play and work at the Wanderers.”
