Raul Llorente Raposo

Born in Madrid, Spain, Llorente is a product of the Atlètico Madrid youth system. A Spanish youth international, Llorente represented Spain at the 2003 FIFA U17 World Championship, making five appearances in the tournament as Spain finished runners-up. After spending three seasons with Alètico’s Segunda B side, Llorente moved on to second-tier side Deportivo Alavès, before joining Xerez and then Tenerife in Spain’s lower divisions. Llorente would then move abroad for the first time in his career after signing with AEL Kalloni in the Greece. After three years at Kalloni, Llorente transferred to fellow Greek outfit Platanias FC. In August 2017, the left-sided player signed a one-year deal with the Western Sydney Wanderers. A breakout season for Llorente saw him feature in 26 out 27 Hyundai A-League games, quickly becoming a fan favourite and popular member within the playing group. Llorente has returned to the club for his second season after triggering an automatic one-year extension to his contract.
