Ins & Outs: Wanderers v Newcastle

Head coach Alen Stajcic has named his extended squad for Friday night’s clash against Newcastle Jets at CommBank Stadium.

You can get your tickets to the match here.

Alen Stajcic’s Wanderers are set to bounce back from a frustrating home defeat against Adelaide United last weekend.

In a match marking the 10-year anniversary of the club’s historic Asian Champions League victory, the Wanderers could not find an equaliser that would have seen them share the points.

The Wanderers now look ahead to their clash with the Newcastle Jets, a team they’ve shared intense battles with.

Both encounters last season ended in draws, with the Wanderers showcasing their resilience to fight back from 2-0 down on the road for a 2-2 draw early in the season.

Their second meeting at CommBank Stadium was nothing short of dramatic, as a depleted Wanderers side, down to nine men due to injuries, managed to snatch a heroic point with a stoppage-time equalizer.

This Friday night, the Wanderers will be determined to turn a hard-fought point into a full three on their home turf.
