Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today announced the signing of Libby Copus-Brown for the Westfield W-League 2020/21 season.
The 22-year-old midfielder was a key player for the Newcastle Jets last season and has featured in 16 matches since 2013.
Head coach Dean Heffernan welcomed Libby to the Wanderers.
“We are very excited to be working with Libby as she’s a energetic and dynamic player that we hope will bring a lot to our team this season,” said Heffernan.
“With our pre-season commencing in a few weeks time, we’re looking forward to getting to work with her.”
Copus-Brown said she was excited to get out of her comfort zone.
“I’ve heard nothing but good things about the Wanderers and they are probably one of the biggest clubs we have here in Australia so I’m really excited to be part of it,” said Copus-Brown.
“I think it’s a good time in my career to step out of my comfort zone and really challenge myself in a new environment under a new coach and around new players so I continue to develop.”
