The Wanderers Westfield W-League team will open the season with a blockbuster clash against Melbourne Victory at Bankwest Stadium on Sunday 27 December.
The opening match will be an opportunity for Wanderers members and fans to catch new recruits as well as some fantastic domestic talent.
Yeoman-Dale believes the shift to a more domestic player focused league is an opportunity to give younger players a platform to showcase their talents on the national stage.
“It’s different this season. We’ve seen the Matildas head out overseas and it’s giving younger players a lot more of an opportunity to step up.
“I think that’s going to be really good for the development of football in Australia.
“We’re feeling really good as a team, we’re starting to gel and starting to get to know each other, and hopefully another few weeks of pre-season and we can be ready to go for the first round.”
With the Wanderers looking to build on last season’s history-making season, Yeoman-Dale says there are no excuses for the Wanderers to not go one further this year.
“We’ve got the facilities and as a team, there’s no excuses now and we’ve got some really good young players stepping up but we’ve still got that level of experience across a few of the players.
“I think it’s a really good opportunity this year for the Wanderers to step up as a club and as a team, I think that we definitely have the potential to go all the way this year.”
With one eye on the domestic competition and one eye on the 2023 World Cup set to be hosted in Australia and New Zealand, Yeoman-Dale believes the stage is set for this season of the W-League competition to be one to remember.
“It’s a massive. The announcement of the 2023 World Cup on home soil, you get that little bit more excited leading into that World Cup,” said Yeoman-Dale.
“A lot of young players coming through now will be looking towards that 2023 wanting to make a move into that Matildas squad and I think that the W-league will be an exciting league.
“It’s a bit different as we don’t necessarily have that experience (in the W-League) but we are going to see a lot of new people and new faces showcasing a lot of talent.”
