Western Sydney Wanderers FC are pleased to announce the appointment of Andy Cornish as the Chair of the Wanderers Foundation Development Committee.

A lifelong football fan, Andy played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Western Sydney Wanderers Football Club in 2012 and now returns to help drive the Foundation’s impact in the Western Sydney community.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Andy brings a wealth of leadership experience across multiple industries. He was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Green Flag when the company became the first sponsor of the English National Football Team.
Over his career, he has held prominent positions in the insurance sector internationally, most recently Chief Executive of Personal Insurance at IAG, where he was CEO when NRMA Insurance became the Wanderers’ founding Major Partner.
Since retiring from his executive career, Andy has spent his time working with disadvantaged communities in Western Sydney and beyond.
In the community sector, he co-founded Larapinta Connect, a program designed for leaders and executives to explore their purpose and legacy through a transformative journey along the Larapinta Trail.
Currently, Andy serves as Chairperson for ANCAP Safety, he is the Company Director for Avant Insurance Limited, The Doctor’s Health Fund, and is the cofounder of Larapinta Connect.
As Chair of the Wanderers Foundation Development Committee, Andy will lead a team dedicated to raising funds to expand the reach and awareness of the club’s charitable initiatives.
Established in 2020, the Wanderers Foundation is committed to making a tangible difference in Western Sydney through programs focused on Youth Development, Healthy Active Lifestyles, Female Football, Multicultural Engagement, Supporting Indigenous Communities, and Advocating for All Abilities.
Western Sydney Wanderers CEO Scott Hudson praised the appointment of Andy as the Chair of the Wanderers Foundation Development Committee.

Andy’s leadership and expertise will be instrumental in driving the Foundation’s mission forward, ensuring that the Western Sydney Wanderers continue to make a lasting and meaningful impact.
