Ninkovic officially becomes an Australian citizen

Western Sydney Wanderers FC can proudly confirm that midfielder Milos Ninkovic has become an Australian citizen following the State Government’s ceremony on Australia Day.

Ninkovic has been in Australia for over seven years and has settled down with his wife and three children.

The twice Johnny Warren Medallist has won a number of accolades during his time in Australia including the Joe Marston Medal, and was named five times in the PFA’s A-League Team of the Year as well as this last year’s A-League All Star squad.

The talented midfielder said that becoming an Australian will give his family more opportunities.

“I have lived in Sydney from the first day I arrived in Australia, it’s now been seven and a half years,” said Ninkovic.

“I have been enjoying pretty much every single thing. I love everything about Australia, but if I have to choose then it’s the kind people, good weather and lifestyle.

“Becoming an Australian citizen means more opportunities for me and my family in every way, especially when it comes to the education of our children.”

The Western Sydney Wanderers congratulate Milos on his Australian citizenship.
