Wanderers confirm the return of Jack Clisby

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed the signing of defender Jack Clisby for the next two Isuzu UTE A-League seasons.

Clisby returns to the Red & Black for his second stint at the club, having been part of the Wanderers squad from 2016-2018.

A seasoned professional, Clisby has featured in over 200 matches in the domestic competition, 12 in the Australia Cup and give in the AFC Champions League bringing with him a wealth of experience to the Red & Black.

Western Sydney Wanderers head coach Marko Rudan welcomed Jack back to Western Sydney.

“An experienced defender, Jack is a true professional and we are very pleased to have him return to the Wanderers for the next two seasons.”

Clisby said he was delighted to return to the Red & Black.

“The Wanderers are a big club and some of my fondest memories are here. I really loved the time that I spent in Western Sydney,” said Clisby.

“So when they contacted me with interest, I was really excited at the prospect of returning. The passion that the members and fans of Western Sydney have is amazing and I couldn’t be more eager to get going.

“I want success and silverware for the Wanderers. I believe the club is building a squad that can win the Championship. I’m excited to work under head coach Marko Rudan and the coaching staff as they are very driven towards the goals of succeeding as a football club.

“The club has come a long way since I was last there in regards to the new facilities and stadium.

“The stadium is fantastic and the training facilities are world-class. It’s an environment that I feel will prepare us to be in the best shape in every department for the season ahead.

“I’m most excited to pull on the Red & Black again and play infront of the RBB and members every week!”
