Western Sydney Wanderers FC are proud to confirm the promotion of defender Jarrod Carluccio on a one-year scholarship contract.
The 19-year-old fullback has been part of the Wanderers Academy since its inception and has progressed through the grades to the National Premier League 1 first grade setup.
Carluccio made his A-League debut for the club in March against Melbourne City and also featured in the club’s pre-season friendly against English Premier League side Leeds United.
The young gun has consistently starred in the Young Socceroos squad and has been regularly selected to train with the Wanderers A-League team.
Carluccio said the scholarship contract at the Wanderers is an honour.
“It means everything to me, it’s been a long journey and it’s something that I have worked really hard for. I’m very grateful for the opportunity, this has been my club for my youth career and the club that I have grown up at,” said Carluccio.
“The Wanderers are a club that I hold dear to my heart. This scholarship is an honour and it’s also a reason for me to work harder.
“Now that I’m in the first team setup, I want to push myself and the boys as hard as I can and break into that squad. I just want to grow as a footballer and a person within this experience.
“I’m someone that is desperate to play well for this football club and it’s what the members and club deserve.”
