Talia Kapetanellis signs for the Red & Black

Western Sydney Wanderers FC have today confirmed the signing of forward Talia Kapetanellis for the upcoming Ninja A-League season.

Kapetanellis has signed her first professional deal with the club having previously been signed with the club under a Youth Development Agreement whilst plying her trade in the National Premier League Womenā€™s competition with Sydney University.

The forward said she was ready to put the work in.

ā€œIā€™ve worked hard over the past year to get to where I am and am very proud to have signed, but I know that is only the beginning. I want to make my debut but know I will have to work hard for the opportunity and continue to work hard to prove that I am ready to represent the club,ā€ said Kapetanellis.

ā€œI just want to keep consistent throughout the season in my work and my effort, and hopefully contributing towards getting the girls and the team into the finals for this season.ā€

Head Coach Robbie Hooker said that Kapetanellisā€™ signing was a testament to the hard work that he had seen from her over the last season.

ā€œTalia is a player you can always rely on to put in that little bit extra in everything she does, and that is a trait that is very valuable in a young player,ā€ said Hooker.

ā€œIt is our intention at Western Sydney Wanderers to invest in the future of our club, and to be a club that gives opportunities to promising young players. Talia is a great example of one of these players, and I am expecting for her to make a big impact as she joins our attacking lineup.ā€
